Privacy, refunds and contact.
Refunds
The camp. There is no trial class. Sessions already held are not refunded, and the machine stays with your child.
If the camp is not working out. Email wcandy@candyandfrank.com and tell us why. We talk it through with you first; if it is still not right, we refund the sessions not yet held, back to the card you paid with.
Booking a place. A place is booked when it is paid on Stripe's secure page from the camp page, and the tax invoice comes by email. If you asked for a place by email instead, we reply with how to pay, and the place is yours once that is done.
Maker Club. A$19 a month, charged automatically on the day of the month you joined, with no contract. Cancel any time under Manage subscription on your family page; there is nothing to apply for. You are not charged again, and Maker Club stays active until the end of the period already paid (joined on 10 January: active until 10 February). A period already paid is not refunded in part.
Privacy
When you request a place. Your name and email, your child's first name and year level, and the note you write. We use them to reply to you and, once you join, to open the family account.
When you book and pay. Your name, email and phone, your children's first names and year levels, and your note. Your card details go to Stripe and never reach us.
When you ask a question. Your name, email and question, kept so we can answer it.
The family account. The parent's email and the child's first name, and the date access runs to. There is no password, and we do not ask for a date of birth, a school or a photograph.
What goes to the AI. To write a game, the build station sends the design card — and for a rework, the code and the bug report — to an AI model (Anthropic's Claude, through the OpenRouter service, processed in the United States). A question typed into the pocket computer's answer box is sent the same way. The child's name, the email and the class code are not sent.
Where it lives. On a server in Sydney, Australia (hosted by Fly.io). Drafts in progress are kept in the browser on your computer, and the privacy panel on the build station clears them from a shared computer.
Cookies. One to keep a member signed in, and one to remember the language. No advertising or tracking cookies.
Children. We never email, message or advertise to a child. Everything about the account goes to the parent.
Seeing or deleting it. Email us from your address and we send you what we hold, or delete it.
